Ross
has over 25 years experience in the management and governance
of major voluntary organisations and Crown Entities.
This includes Nation Manager of Member Services for the Royal
New Zealand Foundation for the Blind (1978-1988), Assistant
Chief Executive of New Zealand CCS (1989-1995) and Human Rights
Commissioner (1995-2001). As Chairperson of the Human Rights
Commission's Complaints Division Ross has successfully assisted
parties resolve a number of complex, highly publicised complaints
of human rights violations.
Ross possesses extensive skills in strategic organisation and
planning, service reviews, conflict resolution and facilitation,
lobbying and advocacy, personalised coaching and supervision,
and disability issues.
Ross has Human Resource Management and Teaching Diplomas and
a Master of Arts Degree in Sociology.
Ross is a certified Conflict Partnership Facilitator/Trainer.
